Air Norway
Air Norway started out with two men, a dream, and a generous loan from the governments of Norway, Sweden, and Denmark. Little air travel was in the area, which the Scandinavian countries wanted to change. Mr. Andrew Lewis and Mr. Jake Greene both wanted to create an airline the way they wanted to, not how some other airlines were. Air Norway is focused more on the employee rather than the executives. Various programs have been set up to help benefit the employees' and their families. Many scholarships have been set up as well as internships for those looking toward a career in aviation.
Buyout and merger

At the 2013 Paris Air Show, no less the 50th anniversary of aviation's biggest stage, in Paris, United International announced plans to buyout Air Norway and merge with Air Norway subsidy, US Airways, keeping the United International brand, while spinning off Air Norway as an independent airline (although the airline maintained 49% control). The buyout and subsequent merger quickly made United International the largest carrier within the United States. It was decided that Air Norway CEO, Andrew Lewis, would take over as chairman of the new company, with United International CEO, Lewis Welch, maintaining his position as Chief Executive Officer. Jake Greene, the Chief Operating Officer of Air Norway, was appointed as Executive Vice-President of International Operations for United International, and also acts as the company's representative towards MCXpress, whom the parent company, United International, maintains a minority ownership with 49% control of each airline.

The Air Norway brand lives on
It was announced that Air Norway would become a wholly owned subsidy of a new start up airline, later revealed as a new airline based on an old classic, MCXpress. The now defunct MC Airlines was based in Salt Lake City, Utah before declaring bankruptcy; however, during liquidation, United International purchased the naming rights to the airline, and with significant investments, funding, and support, resold the naming rights to investors, led by a returning Mr. MC for a new upstart in England. The reborn MCXpress is now based in Manchester, England which also now houses the European hub of United Airlines. Together, the combined entity is expected to extend the United International network to Europe, providing an extensive and unmatched coverage of the continent.
